Berg Racing Announces Two Confirmed Drivers for 2026 Ligier Junior Formula Championship
Ella White – 17 Y/O
Carbondale, CO
IG: @EllaWhite.52
Ella recently completed her first JFC test with Berg Racing in December at Sebring International Raceway, where she showed consistency, improvement, and a clear-minded attitude throughout the test. Competing alongside more experienced drivers, she adapted quickly to the car and track.
Currently completing her senior year of high school, White balances her racing ambitions with strong academic performance. She has a particular passion for science—especially biology—and plans to pursue studies in biology and sports science alongside her racing career. Her background outside of motorsport is extensive, having competed at high levels in skiing, dance, field hockey, soccer, and varsity swimming, experiences that have helped shape her athleticism, discipline, and mental toughness.

Ella views JFC as a critical step toward her long-term goals, which include F1 Academy and beyond. She is also passionate about helping grow female participation in motorsport and hopes her journey can inspire more women and girls to pursue racing.
“I’m super excited to be joining Berg Racing for the 2026 JSF4 season. I can’t wait to get on track, keep learning, and show what I’m capable of. Thank you so much to Alex, Allen, and the whole team for believing in me.”
As the first driver announced for Berg Racing’s 2026 campaign, and the first female driver to ever join the team, Ella White represents both the future of the program and an important step forward for diversity in the sport. Berg Racing looks forward to supporting her development and welcoming her to the grid in 2026.
Berg Racing’s Sporting Director, Alex Berg, quoted below:
“I first met Ella while working as an instructor at an ABRS program in June, and had a nice chat with her regarding her goals.
After being able to personally work with her (Ella) at her most recent Sebring test, I knew she had the will, and proper desire to compete in the Ligier Junior Formula Championship. I am very excited to welcome Ella to the team, and hope to be able to help her continue her journey in motorsport, and use my European racing experience to help fuel her goal of racing in F1 Academy & beyond.”
AJ Abdullah – 17 Y/O
Los Angeles, CA
Berg Racing is excited to announce AJ Abdullah as a driver for the 2026 Ligier Junior Formula Championship (JFC) season, further strengthening the team’s lineup as it targets championship success.
At just 17 years old, Abdullah represents a new type of driver emerging through both electric karting competition and sim racing. His motorsport journey began at age 14 in electric karting, where he quickly learned the basics of racecraft. Over the course of his short karting career, AJ compiled an impressive record, earning 11 podium finishes, 5 race wins, and 2nd place overall in the K1 City Championship.

Alongside karting, AJ has developed extensively through sim racing, using it as a tool to sharpen his race skills. This combination of virtual and real-world experience has played a key role in his progression.
AJ first drove a real race car in July 2025 at Allen Berg Racing Schools, marking a milestone in his transition from karts and simulators to formula cars. His performance and growth during this period led to his signing with Berg Racing for the 2026 JFC season, after participating in a test with Berg Racing in November.
Heading into 2026, Aj is focused not just on learning, but on competing at the front. He joins Berg Racing with the clear goal of fighting for podiums and challenge for a championship.
Berg Racing Team owner has the following to say:
“Aj tested with us last November, and immediately showed pace. It was certainly impressive with his lack of experience in motorsport. We are excited to see how we can develop his ability both on and off track.”
